White Rose is a protest blog collective focusing on civil liberties in the UK.
It was set up to point a finger at the erosion of personal freedom in the UK.
Government's active measures introduce new means of control such as identity cards and surveillance cameras, the passive measures such as weakening of double jeopardy and presumption of innocence.

Terrorists would love the ID database

William Heath, writing on the Ideal Government blog, points out the trouble that some universities have been experiencing with their campus ID card schemes. At George Mason University, hackers managed to get 30,000 names, photos and social security numbers of its students from its ID cards database. "The sickening logic," says Heath, "is that these ill-conceived university ID systems make appealing targets for identity thieves, and that a compulsory UK ID system will be far more appealing still."

In other words, it is quite possible that terrorist organizations will get copies of the UK identity card database. This information could then be used to help them plan attacks on the UK.

I am glad there is a Blog named after the brave Germans who fought the rise of Hitler.

Unfortunately, we have a Resident not a President who has stolen two elections and who has very real ties to the Nazis in his family and his cabinet and his agenda is a continuation of the Third Reich.

I am sickened by the lack of response to the torture and mass murder in Falluja but there are some like ccr-ny.com Constitutional Rights who convinced the current German prosecutor to indict on Crimes Against Humanity Bush's Secretary of Defense Rumsfeld, the torture Generals Sanchez, Miller and other top brass and the former CIA head George Tenet and had the 4 Iraqis who were tortured and who witnessed the unspeakable acts that were required by the top brass in a downloadable plaintiff's complaint against the above.

I hope the German prosecutor with broad War Crimes authority in a number of nations will have the courage to continue with the trial and conviction of the above US officials and free the world of these monsters.

I think the only reason Bush was not indicted is that like Canada there may be a law against prosecuting a sitting president but that after bush leaves office which will be the 12th of never, bush doesn't dare leave office or will face the death penalty for High Treason in stealing our elections, murder of US citizens including journalists trying to tell the truth about the corrupt bush regime, War Crimes and Crimes Against Humanity.

Someone wrote that it would be ironic if Rumsfeld, Bush and Generals Sanchez and Miller were tried at Nurenburg.

The Smirking Chimp.com is a good source of articles from many sources on the Internet with commentary.

Keep the flame of freedom burning.
